Paul Hopper: British academic, and one of the most important authors on international development and globalization issues. Paul Hooper was born in Britain in 1963. He obtained a doctorate in international development from the University of Sussex in 2006. He then taught at the Universities of Sussex and the University of East Anglia, and now works as a lecturer in the humanities at the University of Brighton. ». His research interests focus on issues of international development, policy making, and cultures of globalization. He wrote several books; The most important of them are: “Coexistence with Globalization,” “Understanding Development,” “Rebuilding Societies in the Age of Individualism,” and “Towards an Understanding of Cultural Globalization.” In addition to writing, he is involved in the public sphere and cultural forums. He is a co-founder of the Brighton Development Forum, a member of the editorial boards of the two magazines: “Globalization” and “The Third World,” and he regularly participates in conferences and workshops on globalization and development.
