Khashto Grau was born in 1877 in Barcelona, Spain. In 1903, he moved to Madrid, and during this period he came into contact with the world of theater, and benefited greatly from the expertise of those in charge of its affairs. In 1936, he was appointed consul of Spain in Panama by the Republican government, after which he moved to Chile and Bolivia, and finally to the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, where he lived until his death in November 1958.
