Anatoly Arkadyevich Agaryshev is a historian and publicist, graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University. In 1960 he also graduated from the Institute of Oriental Languages. In 1963-66. - employee of the department of Asian and African countries of the Pravda newspaper. From 1966 to 1969 - deputy editor of the foreign department of Komsomolskaya Pravda. In 1969-1975 — personal correspondent of “KP” in Cairo. Worked as editor of the foreign information department.
